What's New in 3.5.3-Beta1

This release contains numerous small feature additions and some bug fixes. This is also the first release that includes BitRock Network support. BitRock's new BitRock Network technology provides community members with improved notifications of new releases, security alerts, and other messaging from the KnowledgeTree engineering team.

Upgrading

  • This is a Development release for testing purposes only. Upgrades are not supported. We strongly recommend that you do not use this release in a production environment.

Installing KnowledgeTree Commercial Edition

1. Download and install all KnowledgeTree Commercial components:

  • KnowledgeTree Client Tools for Windows (Note: Run setup.exe -i.e. not the msi file - on each client machine where you want to install KnowledgeTree Client Tools for Windows)
  • KnowledgeTree License (Commercial Editions, including Trial)
  • KnowledgeTree Server
Note:  All these components are available on the Commercial Edition Download page.


2. Once you have installed KnowledgeTree Server, log in to KnowledgeTree's web interface to add your license key in KnowledgeTree's DMS Administration module.

Note: First time users use the default credentials: username 'admin'; password 'admin'. See the KnowledgeTree Administrator Manual.


3. On each client machine where KnowledgeTree Client Tools for Windows is installed, configure a connection to the KnowledgeTree repository. See the KnowledgeTree Administrator Manual.

  • KTC-427 Error connecting KTE to upgraded 3.5.2 Commercial from 3.4.6OSS. Resolved. Cannot Reproduce.
  • KTC-426 RHE: 3.1bOSS to COM 3.5.2 causes an error on uploading a document. Resolved. Fixed.
  • KTC-425 RHE: 3.1bOSS to COM 3.5.2 upgrade renders some upload fields missing. Resolved. Fixed.
  • KTC-411 Dashboards not showing borders for FF3 Beta 3. Resolved. Fixed.
  • KTC-406 Windows Add/Remove programs shows a php icon instead of a knowledgetree one. Closed. Won’t Fix.
  • KTS-3370 When using the test string in the name of sub categories in a Tree view structure it appears incorrect. Closed Won't Fix.
