Admin Version Plugin

This plugin allows you to receive version update notifications. A message displays on the Dashboard when newer versions of KnowledgeTree are available.

Bulk Export Plugin

This plugin enables the bulk export functionality in the system. Only administrative users are allowed to perform bulk exports, which involves downloading the entire contents of a folder in one zipped file. The zipped file is saved to the user's computer and may be opened locally for viewing.

Core Application Functionality

This plugin links the plugin architecture and the Web application.

Core Language Support

This plugin provides translation capability for the KnowledgeTree system.

The KnowledgeTree community has developed a number of language packs for the system, which may be downloaded at the [KnowledgeTree Forge http://forge.knowledgetree.com]

Disclaimers Plugin

This plugin allows customization of the Disclaimer text that displays on the Login page, and as Footer text throughout the system.

Document Discussions Plugin

This plugin enables the document discussions function. Discussion threads are a low level collaboration tool that provides a forum for users to share their ideas on a document. Using this feature, you can add new, view, modify, or close discussion threads on a currently selected document.

Document Jump Dashlet

This plugin allows Dashboard dashlets to move. Users drag and drop dashlets to another onscreen location on the Dashboard.

Email Plugin

This plugin enables the Email document action, which allows users to send a currently selected document, by email, from within the system, to one or more KnowledgeTree groups or users.

Note: Emails can only be sent to users who have email notifications switched on in
the Preferences tab. The list of users displayed as selectable recipients are 
configured to receive emails out of the repository.

Extended Transaction Information

This plugin allows the generation of user activity reports, based on the system's ongoing tracking of document and folder transactions performed in the DMS. Enabling this feature allows an administrative user to view a list of transactions for a specific user, or for all system users, filtered by transaction type and by date range. The results returned are permissions-based in that the requesting user only receives information for documents and folders that they have at least view permissions in the DMS.

Full-text Content Indexing

This plugin enables the system search functionality by allowing the indexing of document context.

Immutable Action plugin

This plugin enables the 'make immutable' document action. Invoking this action on a document prevents any non-administrative users from making further content changes to the document. The document may also not be moved or deleted.

Inline View of Documents

This plugin activates the ability to view inline images of documents, of the following file types, that have been uploaded to the repository: xml, html, and txt.

Inter-document linking

This plugin enables the Links document action. Document links allow users to associate two or more documents in the repository. The KnowledgeTree administrator pre-defines the Document Link Types that are used to link documents.

KT Tools Dashlet

This plugin adds a WebDAV Connection Information dashlet to the Dashboard. The dashlet displays the server address for connecting directly to the repository via a third party WebDAV client, and it displays the server address to connect to the repository with the KnowledgeTree Tools for Windows package.

LDAP Authentication Plugin

This plugin is activated to allow the import of users (from LDAP and AD Servers) to KnowledgeTree, and to authenticate imported users when they log in to the DMS.

Professional Reporting

This plugin provides additional user activity reporting functionality to KnowledgeTree Commercial users. Report information includes:

• last login information by user for a predefined period
• login activity by user for a predefined period
• full login history for one or more users

Quicklinks Plugin

This plugin allows users to create direct links to documents and folders in the repository. User defined quicklinks are listed in the Quicklinks dashlet on the Dashboard.

Search Dashlet Plugin

This plugin adds a Search dashlet to the KnowledgeTree Dashboard, which provides access to KnowledgeTree's simple and advanced search functionality.

Subscription Plugin

Enabling this plugin activates the Subscriptions feature in the system. Subscribing to a folder allows you to receive notifications when changes are made to documents in the folder, or to the folder itself.

Top Downloads for the last Week

This plugin adds a Top Downloads dashlet to the KnowledgeTree Dashboard, providing direct links to the documents that were most frequently downloaded for viewing in the repository over the previous 7 days. This dashlet displays only those items for which the currently logged in user has at least view permissions.

Windows Tools: Key Management

This plugin provides access to the KTIS Administration section in KnowledgeTree's DMS Administration module. KTIS Administration is the system's license key management page, where administrative users add new keys, remove keys, and view key expiry information.

Workflow allocation by document type

This plugin provides the ability to assign a predefined workflow to all documents of a specified type.

Workflow allocation by location

This plugin provides the ability to assign a predefined workflow to all documents in a specified folder.

Workflow Association Plugin

This plugin provides the ability to associate a predefined workflow with a specific document type, or with a specific folder. To use this feature, click Automatic Workflow Assignments in the Document Metadata and Workflow Configuration section of the DMS Administration module.
