Important Upgrade Notes for 3.3.X

Upgrades from older releases

Please follow the instructions below if you are upgrading from KnowledgeTree 1.1.3 (or older) to KnowledgeTree 3.3.3 (or a newer release).

Windows

1. Download the KnowledgeTree 3.3.3 Upgrade Installer for Windows.

2. Run the Installer on the KnowledgeTree Server

3. Follow the installer instructions to complete the upgrade.

4. Enable the php_mbstring extension

• Open My Computer
• Browse to your KnowledgeTree install directory (default is c:\Program Files\ktdms)
• Open the ‘php’ directory in your installation directory (default is c:\Program Files\ktdms\php)
• Find the php.ini file in this directory
• Open the file in a text editor
• Find the line that says:

;extension=php_mbstring.dll

• Remove the ';' character from this line.
• Save the php.ini file
• Restart the KnowledgeTree Apache server

Linux

1. Download the relevant KnowledgeTree Upgrade Installer for Linux.

2. Run the Installer on the KnowledgeTree Server

3. Follow the installer instructions to complete the upgrade.
